If it doesn’t… suggest you think about putting that gateway device in full bridge mode and install your own high quality router that YOU have full control to the HP Support Community. However if you have a Gateway (modem+router) device, all Gateway devices are terrible for wireless connectivity. If it doesn’t… suggest you think about putting that gateway device in full bridge mode and install your own high quality router that YOU have full control over. * Make sure IPv6 is disabled in the printer. * Make sure printer and router are at least 5 feet apart. Try channel 1 first then the others one at a time. * Set router to a fixed wireless channel like 1, 6 or 11, never ‘auto’. The router must have the 2.4G SSID band enabled with a different SSID name than your 5.0G SSID band in your router. * Wireless printers only connect to the 2.4G band in your router. You can also try the WPS method if your router/printer supports this only if the Wizard or Printer USB cable is not available. If no front panel for configuration, you must use your Printer USB cable to connect. Both can be accessed from the front panel or computer. Then run the Wireless Setup Wizard to connect. * Reset your printer back to Network Defaults.

Let’s see how to configure SNMP protocol settings for network printers on Windows print server.įirst of all, make sure that your printer supports SNMP.
Cloud printer shows offline Offline#
If no SNMP response has been received from the printer, such a printer is considered unavailable and goes offline on the print server. The print server sends an SNMP request to the printer and waits for a response. How does Windows determine network printer availability status? In Windows 7 and newer, by default the SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) is used to query the network printer state.

Then make sure that the printer is turned on and accessible over the network (check printer availability using ping by IP address, make sure that you can open the printer management web interface). Open the Print Management console on your print server, find the printer with the Queue Status = Offline state, open its print queue properties and make sure that the “ Use Printer Offline” option is not checked in its settings.
